  • In Elementary Band classes, students in fourth grade and older learn how to master an instrument and read music, eventually leading to several performances a year. Participation in the Elementary Band prepares students for the many musical performance opportunities available at the junior high and high school levels

Students supply their own instruments; no fees are required for band classes. Bands perform twice a year: once during Christmas time and once in the spring.

    Elementary Band: Beginning Band Classes

Beginning Band classes begin in fourth grade and meet after school from 3:15-4:00 PM once a week by instrument. Students of any musical experience can elect to play the flute, clarinet, trumpet, or percussion.

    Elementary Band: Intermediate Band

Participating students are required to have at least a year of formal musical instruction on their instrument to enroll in the class. Along with flute, clarinet, trumpet, and percussion, students may elect to play saxophone, trombone, or French horn. Classes meet before school four times a week from 7:55-8:25 AM.
